In Denmark, a sale to Goldman Sachs caused a government crisis

Left government in power in Denmark has lost six ministers Thursday, January 30 . The origin of this government crisis , the refusal by the Socialist People's Party ( SF) to sell a part of the public energy company Dong to U.S. investment bank Goldman Sachs.
"We maintained our positions through Dong ," summarized the Minister of Social Affairs and Integration , Annette Vilhelmsen , who resigned from his post and the party leadership - on the political chessboard left of the Social Democrats leader Helle Thorning government.
NO TIPPING IN OPPOSITIONDong Energy is a producer of oil, natural gas and electricity (wind and thermal) , which achieved in 2012 a turnover of 67.2 billion kroner ( € 9 billion ) . In November , the executive had signed an agreement for a capital increase to which Goldman Sachs brought 8 billion kroner ( 1.1 billion euros ) , thus acquiring 19 % stake.

The Socialist People's Party was part of the coalition government, in place since the fall of 2011, the Social Liberal Party and the Social Democrats . But it should survive, Mrs. Vilhelmsen indicating that the Socialist People's Party does not tip over into opposition.
" I will present soon a new government," Ms Thorning- Schmidt announced during a press conference , adding : "We will continue our work ( ... ) Denmark is stronger , healthier, more solidarity that there are two and a half " years.
