Swiss to vote on immigration, rail and abortion

Sunday, February 9 , some 5.15 million Swiss citizens will vote at the polls on two initiatives and a project of the Federal Council .

The first initiative by the UDC . Named "Against mass immigration ", it asks Switzerland to limit immigration returning to the quota system and renegotiate the free movement of persons with the European Union. The election will be a close , the yes side up increasingly .

The second initiative relates to abortion. The text , "Financing abortion is a private matter" demand that abortion is no longer reimbursed by the compulsory health insurance . The debate , emotional, should run largely for the benefit of opponents and the text should be easily dismissed.

Finally, the third item relates to the project " Development and Financing of rail infrastructure ( FABI ) " of the Federal Council. With 6.4 billion , it aims to provide a solid rail for its operation, maintenance and development financial base.
